MSM 30 rises 0.2%, market cap up OMR 22m

Mubasher: The benchmark MSM 30 of Muscat Securities Market ended Sunday’s session with a growth of 0.2% or 11.84 points to the level of 5,871.8 points.

The market capitalisation rose by OMR 22 million to OMR 17.115 billion, versus OMR 17.093 billion on Thursday.

Trading volume reached 18.8 million shares exchanged at OMR 4.6 million, compared to 22.8 million shares exchanged on Thursday at OMR 4.4 million.

The financial, industrial and services sectors grew collectively by 0.47%, 0.38% and 0.08% respectively.

Al Jazeera Steel Products and Al Anwar Holdings were the best performing shares after rising by 9.01% and 4.32% respectively.

Meanwhile, Alizz Islamic bank and Gulf International Chemicals led the red list after falling by 3.39% and 2.71% respectively.

Bank Muscat was the most traded stock with a volume of 562,280 shares, while Galfar Engineering made the highest liquidity of OMR 2.6 million.
